My name is Sarah Franco Alves. I am a Brazilian designer, animator and Illustrator based in London. I love to make things move and making still objects come to life, makes me smile :)
Graduating from the Design for Moving Image course at Ravensbourne College in 2009 I have since been lucky enough to work with agencies such as Foreign Office, Earth, Superfad and YCN for clients including The Guardian, 100% Design, INQ, Google and Seat.

2010 has been a really exciting year for me so far. Most recently I collaborated with the design agency Foreign Office and the animator Nina Pfeifenberger on the politico environmental film Coalition of the Willing. My illustration work will also be published in this years Offf festival catalogue. Earlier in the year I had the opportunity to collaborate with street artist Mr Dane for the Saddler's Wells Sampled weekend and I was part of the incredible team at Superfad involved in the Seat 'Good Stuff' campaign, which has been broadcasted through out Europe as well as being published in the April's edition of the Stash DVD.
After graduating in 2009 I worked freelance for Picture Ltd, took part in the One Dot Zero Festival and I also joined the YCN team as a part of the Eureka project. During my last year at college my illustration work was published in the Offf festival catalogue as well as at the :output foundation yearly book as I my work was among the winning entries. In addition I helped to organise the ambitious Blank Canvas event, which was a great success.
2008 was also quite eventful. I was part of the team in charge of re-branding the UK's largest student broadcasting event - Rave on Air, I won gold at the Promax UK student awards. I also had work experience with Man vs. Machine and One In Three and was lucky enough to help UVA with the Massive Attack Meltdown Festival held at the Southbank Center.
In addition to design I have also been training and performing aerial acrobatics at the internationally renowned school of contemporary circus - The Circus Space.
